What’s up everyone, it’s Yangzera here to report on our last Runeterra Open of the year! After many stories over the weekend, we know the final 6 Worlds Qualified players! Without further ado, let’s get into it.
APAC
APAC was very interesting, featuring a classic “APAC Moment” with both players that got to the finals ending day one with impressive 5 wins scores: 5-1 and 5-3, respectively. I was amazed at this and just kept asking myself how. Also, one of the players mentioned they have not played PvP LoR for the entire year and only played Path of Champions, which resulted in a misplay on the finals because they didn’t know Jax’s level up condition changed from damage dealt to an attack trigger.

EMEA
EMEA featured a pretty cool pair of lineups and very good players with a lot of good runs to their belt reaching the finals. I felt good because Red Montti was on the same lineup as I was for both days 1 and 2, and Nvrwalkalone managed to successfully split Seraphine and Karma into a playable lineup, with the added spice of a nerfed Heimerdinger Jayce. Despite the controversy around the tournament, it was a good watch and the casters and co-streamers did amazing.

Americas
I got matched against Hawk362 in the top 32 on sunday, and I have to confess I thought that I had main-character energy that day, but during our matches I immediately realized he had at least three times more main-character energy than me. I didn’t watch the rest of the tournament because I simply didn’t need to, as I already knew who was destined to win it all that day.
