Howdy, Champs!
As it's probably news to nobody (but, hey, it's our job to make sure it's indeed news to nobody), the very first Eternal Runeterra Open takes place this Saturday 10.
The First Eternal Runeterra Open
Riot's RubinZoo has confirmed to The Runeterra Report that all 9 games must be completed BEFORE 8 PM shard time, so make sure you keep one eye on your clock and another on your client to avoid missing the window.
As it also shouldn't be news to anybody (but, again, let's make 100% sure that's the case!), Champless Timelines became such a massive Eternal powerhouse that Riot had to apply a hotfix last Tuesday. As they said in the official tweet:
In order to avoid a timeline where the Runeterra Open is dominated by one deck, we will be adjusting Concurrent Timelines from 1c → 2c in a hotfix which we are aiming to have live on June 6th.
Needless to say, this has thrown the LoR Eternal meta into much disarray, so if you need a bit of an extra hand in getting your bearings:
Yangzera's Runeterra Open Decks & Lineups
In his LoR Open Decks & Meta post-hotfix write-up, Yangzera analyzes:
- Decks to Consider Building the Lineup Around
- Other Options that Can Pack Quite the Punch
- Rogue Decks That Can work, But need Testing
As Yang says:
My biggest advice to anyone who’s still not decided on what they’ll play is: don’t try to target a deck or a lineup of a specific playstyle, especially if it is a top deck. Chances are you’ll not even play against it half the time – so half the time your preparation was rendered useless – and there is still a reason why the deck is a top deck: it is able to steal games from you, and that can also send your preparation down the trash can if it happens once.
Herko's Best LoR Decks
Herko rounded up the thirty-seven best LoR decks (yeah, 37; there's two ladders now, so there's a ton of decks you can play!), for either Eternal or Standard, in his By the Numbers article.
If you want the freshest data and numbers to fine-tune your Runeterra Open lineup, don't forget to check:
