Hey everyone, Yangzera here! I figured it was about time for us to do another deck building exercise now that we’re almost close to seeing all the cards in Fate’s Voyage: Onward. I’ll be back in a few days with more decks, but this is a nice time to start dumping ideas for you guys and getting us in the mood for the expansion! Keep in mind these decks are not refined yet and we still have more cards to be released! Once we get our hands in the early access event and can taste the cards for ourselves, we'll have a better picture of what's good and what isn't.
Janna Decks
Janna Jayce Sion
10 cards
30 cards
Aggro isn’t dead! We still have to try Janna out but I think she’s so flexible and can hit every single playstyle. Discounting units is just OP and there is a chance we see her pop up in some aggressive decks just due to how much value and extra gas she brings to the table.
Janna Targon Elusives
17 cards
23 cards
Still on the same train of thought, I believe we will be able to play her in an elusives targon deck, which really wants the mana cost reductions and the density of elusive threats in the deck will make the opponent choose between clearing them or Janna, which is always a choice that puts them in a bad spot.
Janna Nami Elusives
22 cards
18 cards
This is much more my style of play and I believe the amount of gas and refuel the Janna package offers greatly benefits Bilgewater. Cost reductions also work extremely well with Fleet Admiral Shelly and Nami buffs, and I believe this concept will at least see some experimentation.
Janna Seraphine
30 cards
10 cards
I chose Bandle City for this because of the extra pings and how well Janna’s style works with Bandle City. With little refuel after Pokey Stick rotated, there is a way to play Bandle Bar again, but we will have to see how impactful the Explorer cards are.
Wildfire Decks
Swindler’s Den Wildfire
15 cards
25 cards
I really loved this deck before the explorer cards were announced. The idea here is to play a, aggressive style of game and then later on go into Banquet Hall + Swindler’s Den so every 1 drop costs 0 and cycles the deck out so you can find your Wildfires and close the game out.
Catalogue Wildfire
27 cards
13 cards
I have really low expectations for Catalogue Noxus because Whispered Words rotated out of standard, but there is a chance it’s playable.
Bandle Control Wildfire
11 cards
29 cards
One way to play Wildfire can also be as a side win con to a pure control fatigue deck in Norra Gnar. We sadly don’t have access to maind deck Pokey Stick anymore, but a weaker format in Standard could maybe support this deck in some way.
Eternal Karma Wildfire
26 cards
14 cards
This was my first idea for Wildfire, but sadly the combo pieces got rotated out. I’ll still leave it here for our Eternal enjoyers, though. Scattered Pod will tutor both Mimic and Wildfire and you can do a pretty nasty combo with them and Karma.
Nilah Decks
Nilah Nami
7 cards
33 cards
Nilah’s massive card draw can support Bilgewater elusives very well, and the small package of Elemental spells in Disintegrate, Tidal Invocation and Slipstream this deck uses can make for extremely consistent Wizened Helmsmans. Bilge elusives having access to a bunch of hard removal is pretty good and reminds me of old Nami Twisted Fate playstyles.
Nilah MF PZ
19 cards
21 cards
Pirates go to Piltover! The amount of card draw the Janna cards have alongside some pretty good amount of face burn can make for a very consistent and fast paced aggro deck.
Nilah Pirates
14 cards
26 cards
The quintessential aggro deck gains more tools in Vikrash and Nilah, adding a lot of extra gas to the deck and the possibility of finding its tools to close the game out in a very fast paced style.
