After a few days of Road to Seasonals tournament with nearly identical lineups, some spice enters the fray! Mati24Mayo takes it all in our Thursday tournament, now on to the lineups.
1st Place - Mati24Mayo, of team Mafia Esports
Fizz Afaelios
8 cards
32 cards
A pocket pick for everyone who Top 4's a Road to Seasonals tournament as of late, this version splits the difference a bit, going for a full 3 Conchologist, one of Bandle Commando, and dropping one Papercraft in favor of a second Wallop
Yuumi Pantheon
15 cards
25 cards
Man + Cat = Strong, or in this case, Bird + Cat even. Looks like the 'anti-aggro' adaptation of a few Fleetfeather Trackers is catching on. Interesting to see and only time will tell if that really improves the deck or not but spicy to see this again!
Miss Fortune Quinn Scouts
31 cards
9 cards
A rather normal version of the list, the main thing here is that Mati chose to go for two 6ithrias, and two Genevieves, skewing a bit towards having a powerful finisher for the mid-game.
2nd Place - Ardent Guardian
Gangplank Sequani
8 cards
32 cards
Well shiver me timbers it's been a while! This deck hasn't seen much play since the hits to Gangplank and Monster Harpoon, but it looks like it may be enough to dent the competition! Notably, this version is a LOT less reliable on it's Allegiance triggers, but still runs three Yordle Grifters. Ardent has chosen to include three Tusk Speakers to get the guaranteed triggers and good attackers, a Three Sisters for the flexibility, and one Babbling Berg as an 'Entreat on a body' so to speak.
Viktor Karma
17 cards
23 cards
A powerful option to bring to the table, this deck does have few decks that outmatch it's late game due to Karma being a bit of a b*tch with burn spells, and also Hex Core Upgrades! She almost instantly levels a Viktor and gives him mountains of keywords from the first round you hit 10. Aside from that, it has a lot of the early game PnZ tools to delay and shoo the opponent off getting too aggressive.
Sandy Viego
23 cards
17 cards
This Sandy Viego list has a few more spells than most, opting for a Wail, Piercing darkness, and a full four 'protection' options for the sand Simp in the form of Ancient Hourglasses and Rite of Negations.
3rd Place - C0balt
Trundle Tryndamere Feel the Minah
12 cards
28 cards
One of the horsemen of the metacolypse, but with a splash of pink. Not only does this deck bust into k-pop on turn 9 to win the game on the spot, but it also has early game board presence in Icevale Archer, Vulpine wanderer, and Kindly Tavernkeeper. It also has Scatered Pod to find FTR or whatever tool you need as well, and Minah Swiftfoot for the immense tempo swing.
Viktor Karma
22 cards
18 cards
This deck is almost identical to Ardent's, the only difference being -1 Nope and +1 Thermobeam so its a bit better at dealing with threats proactively.
Zoe Lee Sin
22 cards
18 cards
A classic list with numerous new changes to it to cope with the loss of Gifts + Crescendum to get out Eye of the Dragon reliably. This list makes use of Mountain Goat, a Tasty, and Solari Priestess to get more threats and keep things diverse for Zoe.
4th Place - Drevander51
Jayce Elise Vi
24 cards
16 cards
Jayce Sentinels has seen a lot of power recently, with Albus Ferros as a great game ender after getting in some early chunks with Sentinels and remove the enemy's threats.
Aphelios Lux
15 cards
25 cards
A lot of powerful spells and spell synergies packed together to be able to handle whatever is needed, making grand use of Invokes to generate whatever is needed to shut down the enemy, all while making more guns and lasers in the meantime.
Caitlyn Ezreal
13 cards
27 cards
It's been a while since we've seen a tri-beam, but it looks the same as when we last saw it. It's a fairly standard tempo deck still with a lot of play value to it.
